wallstreet – a wp7 stock app

Here are some screenshots and a video of my latest wp7-project, wallstreet.

This is a stock app that displays the current price of a list of stocks that you provide. You can drill down to get more information, graphs and company news. The application also gives you an overview over the development on the worlds largest stock indexes and stock market news.

The application uses both the ‘panorama’ and ‘pivot’ controls from the ‘phone’-project on Codeplex (phone.codeplex.com). Stocks are powered by Yahoo’s online stock tracker and are delayed by the standard length of time.

More information and source will be published soon!!

  • Hi Sigurd,

This app is looking great. I especially love the Live Tile icon you’ve choosen, it looks great and fits in with metro very well.

One small comment I have is the use of a back button on the screen surface. While that placement will be very familiar to iPhone users, the WP7 UI Design Guidelines suggest not to include your own back button, since they want users to take advantage of the fact that every phone has a hardware back button. It should become very habitual for people to use the hardware button instead of looking for on-screen buttons.

Just thought I would throw that out there. Great looking stuff, I look forward to checking it out when I finally get a phone!

    Hi Sigurd
Awesome app but is there any chance of updating it so that it can access the Australian Stockexchange? I had a quick look at the source and I think putting au.yahoo… in front of a couple of the weblinks would let me put ASX stock codes in.
    cheers
    Scott

  • Their back legs should come well underneath their body ready to propel them forward on the flat.
Lift one leg high, imitating the movements that you
make when moving. There are two ways to try to
call upon your maximum eccentric strength.
